la première moitié du livre était un peu longue et redondante, mais j’ai bien aimé le format des chapitres (contrairement à d’autres reviewers……)
il y avait pas mal de commentaires intéressants par rapport au fait d’être une femme étrangère dans un pays à majorité blanche etc… j’ai relevé beaucoup de passages qui m’ont plutôt parlé et c’était sympa de se retrouver dans les situations mentionnées par l’autrice

Моторошна, жорстока історія, яка чіпляє за живе навіть не-матерів. Якраз паралельно дивлюсь "Розповідь служниці", ця книга в багатьох аспектах з нею перегукується, але на жаль не досягає того ж ефекту: замало контексту другорядних героїнь щоб їм співчувати, недостатньо неочікуваних сюжетних поворотів щоб хотілось швидше читати, загалом дуууже затягнута розповідь – якби сторінок було вдвічі менше, книга б нічого не втратила. Цікавий задум, незвична завʼязка, сильний посил, але виконання на трієчку. Другу половину я ледве вимучила.

I felt gaslit reading this. A 3.5. I felt bad for Frida and the other mothers. While yes Frida did a bad thing is it fair for her to be scrutinized and mentally fucked for a whole year/the rest of her life for that one event? Is it fair to the other mothers who were wrongfully sent away? I wish we had known how many moms actually got their kids back. I have a feeling it was close to zero. The last 100 pages were hard to get through, it got very repetitive- but I did cry for Frida in the end.
