I had a hard time getting to know the people in the book (since this is part 7 and I haven't read the previous books). It also took some time to get into the story. There were quite some twist and turns, which was nice. But somewhere at the end, it felt like the story was all done and than there came a twist to keep the story going. Felt as a bit too much.
But in the end, it was an okay book. :)

Am a big thriller fan. And when thriller comes to mind @officialjefferydeaver is among my favorite authors.
The book Cold Moon is a gripping story over story. A Lincoln rhyme book its full of investigations overlap and climax after climax. There are so many layers in this story that it always keeps you on the edge. You will be shocked at every page and after every climax. The way each character is explained and portrayed is fantastic.

This is my first Deaver. I felt the multilayer deception and crimes were a bit....much. I enjoy a good crime novel but this even stretched the believability to a new level.

Dar nu e o idee prea grozavă să mergi la lucru cu o maşină furată, mai ales că doi dintre ultimii ei pasageri erau acum victimele unei crime.
Şoferul – un bărbat subţire de vreo cincizeci de ani, cu părul negru tuns scurt – coti cu grijă pe o străduţă laterală şi îşi continuă drumul, fără să mărească viteza, luând toate curbele cu precizie, perfect centrat pe banda sa. Ar fi condus exact la fel dacă străzile erau alunecoase sau uscate, dacă maşina tocmai fusese implicată sau nu într-o crimă.
Atent, meticulos.

I didn't want this book to end. But it did, and now I'm sad because I want another adventure with Lincoln Rhyme. But more importantly with Amelia Sachs!
So many twists and coincidences that it ran into the realm of almost ridiculous. Well enough written, but it begs the question: How many plot twists can a single story bear?

I found it very dull throughout most of the novel. About two-thirds of the way through it picks up as things begin to come together. I just felt there was too much going on. You think things are wrapping up nicely, but there's still more novel to read. Then something else is thrown at you; another thread that needs to be woven into the main. The detectives make such huge deductive leaps, it would make the nimblest of mountain goats go wobbly at the knees. I hope all the novels aren't like this. It appears to be a series within a series, so maybe this is the exposition part.
Lots of moving parts with this book. I couldn't help but picture Denzel and Angelina as the leads. Looks like I've got another series to read.
