I can’t believe it took me so long to get to this book. This lovely novella-esque story is Lyons’s first self-published work—since the publishing company decided not to continue the series, which I assure you is a literary travesty. She has created a unique world about witches and the protectors being gravely cursed for a mistake in the past. Not only do which is now fear there once protectors who have gone nearly insane with bloodlust for their blood, but both witches and protectors have had their souls halved — only being released from the curse upon finding their other half.

Let me start this by saying I have practically fallen for each and every one of the Wings Slayer Hunters. And my beloved Ram is no different. I was actually surprised at how damaged he was. He didn’t seem that way in previous books, so when we got his back story, I was rather taken off guard. It made his character harder and better, giving him that aspect of determination. It gave all of his actions and reactions much more impact. He was the perfect alpha male. In one scene in particular between him and Ginny was so hot— just what she forced him (in a good way) to do— I swear it ratcheted their relationship up to new fantastic heights. Overall he was another amazing Wings Slayer Hunter, and yes, he has joined the others that hold a place in my heart.

Ginny was just great. She was strong. Capable. Very caring. Despite the ship whole situation she is trapped in—her brother Elijah coming along for the ride should she messed up— she is perfect. Her feelings are genuine and well thought out. She does what she has to to protect herself and her brother. She is even willing to settle when she wants so much more. She put others first and always wants to help. So when she’s forced to go down the path she has tried so hard to avoid, things between her and ram explode in the best of ways. It forces to people who are perfect for each other to take things further and care in a way that is not only passionate and deep, but simply stated to be.

I really wish the series hadn’t been discontinued. The first book in the series is what got me hooked on the romance genre. To see a gets stifled so soon hurts my romance junkie heart. I really hope line continues to self-publish the series. It truly is a great series, and I would recommend it to any paranormal romance fan.

Wow! I'm always skeptical about novellas, but Ms. Lyon knocked this one out of the park!(Did I mention how happy I am that the Wing Slayer Hunters are being published indie now?! Yay!)

Loved the story line and the characters(Ram...yum!) The dynamic between Ram and Ginny is sensual, loving & packed with emotion. A nice treat for a novella. I can't wait to see what Ms. Lyon comes up with next!

Definitely a MUST READ for fans of the series!

‘Forbidden Magic’ is the first self- published e-novella by the wonderful Jennifer Lyon, continuing her Wing Slayer Hunter novels. This one tells the story of Ram and Ginny and let me tell you it’s hot, hot, hot. Lyon did not disappoint on this one. Even though it’s a novella, it reads like a full novel. The story that is told is complete and just as insanely passionate as her other four novels.

The ending left craving more, I have to admit I was a tad bit angry when I read the ending. Not because it was bad, oh no but because I didn’t want it to end. I wanted more and I wanted to read it now. So I need to know what happens to them because I will literally be on the edge of my seat until I read some more and that will not be the most comfortable thing.

I cannot and I mean cannot get enough of these books. These characters and their stories have become one of my favorite series, if not my favorite. I think this series is very underrated, and I cannot believe more people have not picked up these books and flocked to them. They should be on the bestseller’s list. They should be right up there with the mainstream books like the ‘Twilight’ series, yes I said it. Honestly I like these men and their stories one hundred times more than those, and I did like those. These books should be bigger though, add them to you TBR right now if you have not read them yet because you are missing out. The writing is amazing, the stories are beautiful, and the characters are phenomenal. Jennifer Lyon is a genius and deserves a much bigger following and I am doing my part to make sure that happens.

‘Forbidden Magic’ is a MUST READ!

Forbidden Magic- Forbidden is the love you feel for someone who is not your soul mirror but your soul knows is the person for you. From the beginning of the Wing Slayer Hunter series I have felt that if given the smallest nudge that Ram’s impressive control and strength would waver and that is what happens when Ginny sets out to seduce him. It didn’t take long for Ram to figure out that Ginny was not a mortal woman but it took less of time for him to realize he wanted her more than anything ever in his life. For Ram at his breaking point, age difference, be damned, Eli, her brother & a Wing Slayer Hunter be damned, him having a soul mirror out there be damned, all Ram wants is to love Ginny and have her love him back. He feels the bloodlust coming full force with the awakening of his thunderbird. Knowing he has a soul mirror witch running from him just pisses him off; with the only light at the end of tunnel is his love for Ginny. He will do anything and everything to protect what he considers his, and Ginny is his, no matter what her father says or does. Hot, Sexy, Emotional, Heartbreaking, & Fantastic are just a few words I would use to describe this novella & this series.

Lyon is a tease.

A cruel heartless tease.

I absolutely love her Wing Slayer Hunter novels and was unbelievably devastated to discover after finishing the first four in two days that the publisher had decided not to continue with this series. I have no idea why, they're awesome.

Anyway this is a novella featuring Ram Virtos who's Thunderbird was awakened by Shayla, the infertility witch of the current generation, and the end of [b:Sinful Magic|9645328|Sinful Magic (Wing Slayer Hunters, #4)|Jennifer Lyon|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1320528313s/9645328.jpg|14532801].

Ram has decided not to go after her so as to avoid cutting her for her witch blood.

Ginny is the half-sister of a Wing Hunter Slayer and a half-Angel. Daddy dearest is an asshat of the highest magnitude, punishing her for ignoring his wishes and having used the curse and subsequent break between Wing Slayer and the hunters to force Eli to be her guardian. He uses Eli's soul as leverage at one point.

While Ram and Ginny are together at the end of the novella, it's not a total HEA and it turns out
SpoilerRam's thunderbird will kill him if he doesn't mate with Shayla. And so they are heading off to find out the cause of the infertility witch curse and why the thunderbird is part demon.

Seriously read all the Wing Slayer books, then this and wait with me and all the other fans for Cage Magic, Linc's book and the next in the series.

Don't waste your money. This is one of those books that after you finish you wonder if it was a deliberate scam by the author to make money by selling a short story that isn't even a complete story. it is the beginning of the setup for a story about Ginny and Ram. I've loved every book so far in this series, but after this one I'll think twice before spending money on another story by this author out of fear it won't be a complete story.

To ako vážne? Vážne teraz, keď sa to konečne začalo rozbiehať?
