I really liked this one! I almost loved it, but I think it was a little too self-referential, and some of the dialog veered toward being overly expository

Although I knew the general happenings of this book from reading the Hunger Games, I didn’t realize how sad I would still be at the end. What a sucker punch to the feels. Haymitch was just a boy!!

I always love SC’s work and reading about her spirited rebels but damn did this one drive a dagger through my heart. 4.5 over all, -0.5 stars for the emotional damage toll it takes to finish the book.
