4.01 AVERAGE

This book was meh for me. It was cool to see everyone come together, but it felt really slow to me. There are still a lot of immature decisions being made by the main characters, which is annoying. There are also a lot of logistical things that bother me about this series now that there are no adults there to help them.

SPOILERS AHEAD POSSIBLY

WHY IS THIS NOT THE LAST BOOK MR LORE ! Why are you doing this and making me wait for an ending '!

How could you still not love Four after this book . I seen Five coming maybe not with what happened but I didn't like him from the crop circles ( like you might as well walk around with a neon sign on your head ) . Six is still amazing but also saw a vulnerable side . Yes Mariana ! Finally showing us that you can do more than heal and swim underwater . Eight why you ? But I guess this is the push Mariana needed to really showcase who she was . ( so about that prophecy from last book ... ) Even with how ride Nine you can tell that he genuinely cares and didn't deserve what happened to him do I don't blame him . Ella , well you seemed quite a wild card in this book . Causing great and horrible things ( well I guess not yet right ) are you worse than Five ? Sarah , -_- John can't be happy if Mariana and Six can't be happy . That's all I am saying on that . Sam , still kicking butt for a human , can't tell him nothing.

Just as good as the rest of the series, if not better. The characters develop a lot and the plot moves along swiftly with just enough slower parts to develop relationships. The cliffhanger ending is awesome.

I picked it! Won't say what though...
I'm still reeling from this book so I'm a bit at a loss of what to say. So much happened and I don't approve of some decisions made in the book but all well, everything has to go to shit before it can have a happy ending.

I knew there was something off about Five as soon as he showed up. I wasn't sure how it would go down or how brainwashed he would be, but I totally knew he was going to betray them somehow. This book was quiet action packed and we're starting to learn more and more about what's actually going on instead of what the Garde has previously been told. I'm very said about Eight though.

Big twist at the end that I didn’t see coming

I think this was the best of the series so far!! The ending was awesome. While I did call the major twist right from the beginning, that made it more exciting waiting to see if I was right. I don't want to wait for the next one.
adventurous emotional funny sad tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

It took me a while to get pulled back in (some of the fonts aren't very different and thus sometimes it's confusing who's POV it is for a few sentences) but I am interested in following the story into the next book.

This one was harder to get into than the previous installments. I stuck it out because I'm a fan of Nine and I'm glad I did. The second half is fast paced and heartfelt, the end heartbreaking. The "twist" was expected but I still enjoyed it.
