amazing just can not freaking wait for the fifth book seriously did nor see that one coming at all!!!!! can't wait!!!!!
At the end of the last book, I was a bit like, this hasn't finished yet? Come on, let's get it over with. But at the end of this book, I was more like, this hasn't finished yet?! I need to know what happens! I wasn't overly thrilled with Rise of Nine, but this one really stepped up the action and the twists and fleshed out the characters more so that I cared about them all. The only complaint I have is that it was often hard to tell who the narrator was - the fonts changed for different perspectives, but with four interchanging voices, it was more than a little confusing.
Now the stakes feel like their getting even higher. Character deaths and betrayals (even though it seems fairly obvious when you think about it) are starting to build up, and they make for amazing storytelling. Aside from Six, who is just as awesome as ever, I think Nine is one of my favorite characters. He's keeping everything light as the darkness starts to really pick up in this series.
This book was not a disappointment. It was great.
There are a few things I wish they could do better on, like the fact that there is more than one author and none of them can write a good romance between Sarah and John.
I listened to this one and the cheesiness of the romance showed its true colors.

I really think the title should be different. It completely gave away that Five was going to be a traitor. I would have liked more of a surprise while reading it but I knew what would happen the whole time. Dang it.
Why aren't they more diligent with their training? If I was Loric I'd at least try to max out all my Legacies as much as possible and practice everything everyday. Frustrates me. It also frustrates me that Marina didn't kill Five when she had the chance.
I didn't enjoy the increase in cussing in this book. I hope the following book doesn't continue this pattern.
I didn't like the narrator for Sam in this book. His voice is completely different than the guy that does Four's point of view-making him sound nerdy. This new narrator tries to use a serious "tougher" tone and I don't like it it.
I still love the series though.

Why do I put myself through this? Although I enjoy the series, the narrator of John is awful. It's fine for John but when he does female voices - AWFUL.
