I've been a fan of Miles since he first came about. The fight between Green Goblin and Miles was incredible. Bump this to a 4 star. Only 3 star without the fight.

Huh. That was good and weird. I get that Marvel has multiple universes. But being dropped into this one was odd. The same names but in different places and different roles. The wake anniversary at May's house was a nice touch. Miles Morales is definitely a better spider-man in this one than peter parker is. But this book had a bit more potential than substance. 3.5 of 5.

I thought I had gotten all of the parts from the library but apparently not... There are big gaps that I'm not sure what's going on but can still follow what's happening. So I'll try to find the bits that I've missed!

what in the blue superbutt

questions:

1) clearly some things have gone down in miles' life since the last volume of ultimate spiderman. where do i find this? is it that ultimates thing they're advertising on the front cover? is it worth reading?

2) when did peter parker turn into the kind of jerk who beats up a kid with v understandable questions? unacceptable

otherwise though, welcome back miles! :D missed you bb. i have no idea what is going on with peter personally rn but the writing, art, and characterization for this volume were all otherwise on point. really glad to be able to read about miles!spiderman again

I really enjoyed this graphic novel.

Miles Morales was a funny character. His funny banter as he fights. He realizes that he is going to have to deal with Norman Osborn who has escaped his cell. This is going to be dangerous because it was Norman that seemed to have killed Peter. But it would seem that Norman is not alone in causing chaos he helped some of the other villians escaped as well.

I really enjoyed the story and the characters because they are very interesting and sometimes get me laughing.

I enjoyed seeing Miles Morales being spider man. It was cool seeing someone other than Peter have to deal with what it means to be a hero and protecting the city from the villians that decide to wreck havoc in the city.

It was a good start to the series.

This is in an Alternate Earth, right? I heard something about that? Anyways, this is a fun title. I really like Miles, and I'm glad he's going to be a part of the regular Marvel Universe (right? That's what's happening?). I think I might have been a little too confused about Peter Parker being dead (or not?) and Miles dating a young Katie Bishop and then becoming invisible...a little bit of backstory might have been nice.

Also, dammit, Marvel, at least once per TPB, they have panels that read all the way across a double page spread, but the stupid pages look like a regular page, and I don't figure out that I'm supposed to read all the way across until I'm really confused about what's happening, and can you PLEASE make your dang double page spreads LOOK like double page spreads?!
