I really liked this.... like really really liked it. She could've been a 4 star if the writing wasn't a bit immature and fast at times. The author is clearly hitting a lot of good points, seeing as I am starting the third book in this series, but there is this odd balance of good and cheesy and unrealistic. YES, mafia books are the apex predators of the unrealistic food chain, but come on.... some things mesh well. This series hasn't convinced me in that regard, but the characters are enjoyable.
I can look past the pacing and less than ideal representations of scenes to rate this book a solid 3.5 stars. It's cute and could probably do WAY more if it had 200 more pages and some critical editing.

booktok strikes again! i really need to stop listening to booktok because they've always steered me wrong. booktok recs are always a miss, unfortunately, and this book falls right into that same category.
there's not much to say - I did like the fact that both of the leads were disabled but that was the only thing i liked about it. for a book that is marketed as dark romance and mafia, it was pretty tame. don't get me wrong - i don't like this new phenomenon of downright traumatic dark romance but i also don't like this very very mild version of it either. this book was too mild to be considered a true dark romance, if you ask me. there wasn't very much excitement and i really didn't buy the relationship between the leads either honestly. this was a case of instalove at its finest. i'm a vocal opponent of slow burn and i hate it with a PASSION but instalove isn't better by any means, and that's what this was.
it's a quick read. read it if you must, but don't expect to walk away from this feeling like your life has been changed. it's not THAT great.

it was a cute read. both mcs were great and i enjoyed the progression. left some stuff in the air by the end but it was good.
Meh
I found it odd he said he would kill his kid's mother if she aborted. I would have preferred him saying he would give her money to have the baby instead. Just felt off.
They didn't teach Lena sign language? I found that odd.
Her brother never came back to town?? Odd.
Does Lena have guards? Found it off she didn't have guards seeing as how her father is in the mafia she would have been a target.
Felt like the book just abruptly stopped as well.

Mucho mejor que el anterior pero llegó un punto en el que los diálogo daban cringe

I absolutely adore Mikhail and Bianca are literally the most wholesome mafia couple I have read. I love that Mikhail has this softness when he is with Bianca. Bianca is the kindest soul and doesn't care about the physical characteristics that people find scary about Mikhail. Bianca immediately takes her younger sister's place because her father was going to send her little sister to be collateral for the war against the Russians. Bianca lost her voice in an accident and she normally signs or types her words. The biggest fight between them is that Mikhail lied to her for a while that he couldn't understand ASL.
This book doesn't have much going on in terms of an extensive plot other than Bianca's father ends up having it out for Mikhail. This book rated high for me though because it is about healing and accepting the flaws that others see.
