Arranged marriage; this trope is one of the central narration of the story. The male main character Mikhail has been attracted to the female main character Bianca long before their formal engagement. Privately attending her ballerina performances; without ever missing one.
His feelings are deep-rooted, making their arranged marriage a complex emotional journey rather than a simple contractual arrangement. His knows that his personality and overall physique will be something that Bianca will never be attracted to. But as they navigate their relationship, Mikhai’s realizes that he was very wrong. But he still has a hard time opening and accepting it. With both POV’s, we see their mutual feelings, attractions, care, possessiveness and love for one another. Through, I wished there was more of a slow burn. The feelings were there pretty fast; as if I was reading an instalove story. But, this is a short story, which makes sense…
