THIS IS A DEBUT???? WHAT?
This book is incredible. The banter, the tension, the forced proximity, he falls first, he takes care of her AND THERE IS NO 3rd ACT BREAKUP! The story is so heart felt, I was all in my feels the whole book.
Also - a couple of my fave micro tropes - when the MMC says "F it" and gives into the feelings they have, AND "That's my wife" 😍
The world that Kayla built in this book has me BEGGING for more. Again a DEBUT? Instant fan! I want more.

Did I buy this book because I was hoping for good F1 romance? Yes.
Was I dissapointed? Also yes.
I think its amazing how you can just tell that this author isn't watching F1 at all by the way the sport is portrayed.
But I thought the romance part could save the book. Here, too, I was disappointed. The plot was so clichéd, predictable and therefore boring and sometimes unnecessarily weird(?).
I don't even know exactly how to describe it but some scenes literally gave me the Ick.

I’m a huge f1 girly and this book this damn book is perfect, the perfect f1 romance book I’ve read, Kayla did an incredible job explaining F1 too !!! 🏎️🏁

And the jaw-dropping wtf how why uhh ahhh moments, oh there are a handful of those and they are absolutely beautiful, but absolutely shocking !!
so many times while reading this book I got teary-eyed, the relationship between Blake & Ryder is magic, you fall in love with them early on and you just keep falling more and more in love with their beautifully tragic story!
the podcast, interviews, conferences & IG posts, made it feel so real like you’re fully immersed in the true f1 world, and I feel like this was the perfect touch to one of the many reasons I loved this f1 book so much, Kayla took you in the full setting of f1 racing!
I’m not one to re-read books but this book, is definitely on my will be re-reading list 🤝

This has been an amazing book, I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I love a good F1 romance and this had everything.
The story of Blake and Ryder was not only a beautiful romance, it had all the grit you wanted to see with the F1. It had happiness, laughter, sadness and even anger as you were reading it.
The character of Blake I loved as it was great seeing an independent strong woman in such a male dominated sport, she deserves everything and I loved the writing and how her journey progressed.
Ryder our gorgeous tortured soul … 🥺🔥 he is everything you want in a man, he knows exactly what he wants on and off the grid and he makes sure he gets it!
This has been an amazing first book to the series and I can not wait to read the rest as they come out!
I’m looking for a cute and amazing moment look no further. This book has spice it has heartache it is the perfect pallet cleanser book I have never wanted a full series completed to much in my life I am a sucker for romance books and this book really hit the nail on the head
