Good practical book,actionable, with real data and concrete actions/steps to make your relationship better, even if it's already going well. Useful for any stage of a relationship, but certainly easier to use as maintenance than as repair.

Really liked this practical and research-based analysis of happy marriages. Gottman really knows what he's talking about.
Excellent book concerning what to do and what not to do in a relationship & one of the best relationship books I've read.
This book is the most practical, helpful book on marriage I've read. I appreciated that it had scientific data as the basis of his teaching. There were things that I've been able to immediately put into practice, and I'm looking forward to going through the different activities/work with my husband. Highly recommend!
I’m going to want to reread this as The boys get older. Even at 2 and a half, after reading this book I have learned that our son is more capable than I’ve been giving him credit for. He is able to define his own emotions and already appreciates when I try to understand him.
