This was a fascinating big-brother style novel that looked at what people will do when pushed to their limits. I found a lot of the book interesting and at times a bit slow moving and repetitive. I also wish the ending had a bit more growth from the characters. I was also a bit confused with Andrew’s character arc and his obsession with the producers when he returned? I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it I thought this was a great debut novel from the author and I’m sure I’ll pick up more in the future!

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves reality tv bc this is literally reality tv in a book. I loved it. I understand the qualms and things people didn’t like it, but I just feel like that’s even more reality tv, ya know?

This manages to take one of the most unlikable forms of media and one of the most unlikable persona styles from that media and make the reader empathetic to their plight... and repulsed at the same time. This book ratchets the tension, then releases it, only to raise it again, over and over. I found this book to be compulsively readable.
