Idk, there's nothing specifically bad about this, I just found it very boring.

I loved, loved, LOVED this book. The chemistry, the pacing, everything was just mwah *chef's kiss*. I really love how the whole cold-guy-who-only-melts-for-the-heroine trope was executed. It's one of my favorite tropes of all time, and the execution was totally on point. Will definitely read again in the future.

Just one thing to say about the writing style: it sometimes requires your full attention to decipher what the author's trying to say.

I am legitimately sad that I won't ever get to see what more happens with these characters, and that's something I never get to say about books anymore. Off I go to read the next books in this series, in an effort to get a glimpse of Lily and Luc again.

We love a caretaking scene.
Et biensûr j'adore voir les behind the scène des milieux artistique et c'était la première fois que je lisais un livre dans le milieu du théâtre.

4.5/5 stars. I loved this book and wish I had made myself read it sooner. Lily and Luc were the best!!! It packed quite an emotional punch too.

For the first 70% of this I thought, I fucking love this book. From 70-75% I was like, hmm, maybe I should not've gotten so into it, I don't know if they'll do right by me. And then I had to take that back, because the rest of the book just rammed my initial feelings home - I'm in love with this. IN. LOVE with this.

This is the most I've felt for a romance in ages, and my throat hurts a little bit right now because I've been holding back tears? And that last bit's the most bewildering thing to me, because it's not a sad book; it doesn't try to evoke anything in you, it doesn't at all feel manipulative to me (and I'm usually hypersensitive to that). And I know that I may end up overselling it, so please go in with caution yourself. Just...every bit of this clicked for me in a way that simultaneously charmed my socks off and made my heart clench. And it's a bunch of things I didn't even know I would love - maybe it just had to be written exactly like this.

I can't explain everything about it that I did love, because it's really late (this book made me stay up way past my bedtime on a work night - which, again, hasn't happened IN AGES for me), but ultimately, I just adored these people. I'm very emotionally satisfied. 5/5.

maybe a more detailed review after my inevitable reread.

This book was wonderful and adorable :') It really was as good as the first one, as I was expecting, so I was not disappointed.

I don't know if the word LOVE is strong enough to sum up my feelings. So perfectly executed, everything about this book made me happy. The characters were dynamic, interesting, and relatable. There romance developed in a way that totally made sense. Every minute was such a joy and I can't recommend this enough.

Book 2 in the series. One of those romances that always has something heartbreaking in it, in this case
the death of Lily’s father right before opening night
. And feels a bit heavy on the “she must change for the guy, because she’s not living up to her full potential.”  I will probably keep reading the series, but not my favorite
