This book made me realize how anxious winning the lottery tropes make me. I almost didn’t finish it because of nervous it was making me lol

I was worried when I found out this was about a girl winning the lottery because I *just* read a book with a similar story, but fortunately they were very different. Super fun read!

This was so stinking cute. I love Kasie West and I just know every time I pick up one of her books I'll have a good time. Plus the audiobook for this made it so great to finish in just a couple days on my long drive to and from work!

So disappointed in this I was yelling at the character and her stupidly. It was so infuriating

I usually LOVE Kasie West, like love love! But I just felt "eh...." about this one...

Once again, I loved this light and enjoyable summer romance. Impressed with the heroine, who is experience extreme personal growth and then finds love. Love isn't her goal, but it's a delightful part of the book.

Not really sure how I feel about this book. It felt like the romance was sort of a behind the scenes in this book. Compared to all of Kasie's other books this one just didn't click with me at all. I guess I was just hoping to read a cute fluffy contemporary romance that had some sort of substance to it. I absolutely loved all of Kasie West's other books but this one has to have been my least favorite. It had its moments where I really liked it then thought ehh. Still happy I read it and thank you to Owlcrate and the publishers for giving me a copy of this ARC from Bookexpo earlier this month!

As I was reading this I had the thought that maybe I had outgrown Kasie West because I struggled with this from page 1. I love Kasie West, she is my favorite contemporary ya romance writer. Her books are usually magic for me. This was lacking all things I attribute to Kasie West. The main character Maddie wasn't fearless, funny, or just all around awesome like Kasie West's main characters usually are. Maddie came off as immature and I had a hard time believing she was an 18 year old senior in high school. Kasie West writes the best romances that always leave me swooning. However, in this case the romance was so blah and Seth was like a cardboard cutout where I felt that there was nothing beyond the surface.

After finishing this I don't think I've outgrown Kasie West I just think this is not a good book.
