Every time I read this book something new speaks to me. I love this book and, honestly, I love Lee.
This is a book I read when I was 15 and I am now 32. Being young and old at the same, consuming fiction from youth and now is becoming an interesting exercise. This book still grabbed me like then, albeit the saucy parts with a dickhead now seem sad and I want to shake the poor young lass. It is also interesting reading this with the context of living in the US where cultural differences between areas are now known to me. Overall this book is tome which I enjoyed but probably wouldn’t recommend unless I went to boarding school.

meh. It was okay. It covered way too much time (four years at school) and the main character was kind of annoying.
All I feel on finishing this book is relief that I don't have to spend another minute in Lee's head.
