This book contains the numbers 21 to 27 of the saga of Swamp Thing. This saga is  were Allanmoore became written before. He work on watchmen.   I try to read this book one time on 2020 and the second time is on 2024.
Before let’s see some positive aspects and negative aspects.

Positive aspects:
  • The art work
  • The plot twists
  • The themes that the book talk about.

Negative aspects:

  • The rhythm
  • In my case the the first 2 comics are started slow except from a twist of the nut.

I’m my opinion this don’t is a bad comic but , Isn’t for me. Because of this I give 3.05 stars of 5.

It takes a while to get going (partly due to tying up the previous story) but then it's trippy and great. I'll definitely preserve with the Moore run, if just because I hope it delves deeper into the green. Wood's colours are also superb!

In which Alan Moore invents the modern American comic book.

Perhaps it's the effect of reading Moore's re-imagining of a DC also-ran horror title in discreet little packets, or the effect of already having read much of what it came to influence, but I didn't find this quite the revelatory experience I was expecting. Maybe it'll get a five star bump when I've completed the entire run.

Nonetheless, what struck me reading these first few issues was just how completely this laid the groundwork for pretty much all the Vertigo titles that would follow, and indeed many mainstream superhero comics.

THIS is why I stand by my opinion that much of the good writing is in comic books. Many people believe comics are just shoot-ups, skimply-clad beauties, and aliens/robots/zombies...this is Exhibit A that that isn't always the case. Comics - while they can be just that - are often more. Good art. Thoughtful + imaginative writing. Fascinating characters.

Even though it skips a few chapters, this starts where Alan Moore became the writer of this character, giving him a proper origin story and an existential crisis; This is where it gets interesting, and it displays the brilliance of Alan Moore as a writer, who saved this comic from cancellation.
Expect themes of identity, existentialism and that kind of stuff.
Amazing story in general and the art is jaw droppingly gorgeous.
