So glad I finally got around to reading this. The plot was so good. I’m already fairly invested in the characters after reading the Maddison Kate series (especially Cass

Book 1 & 2 are really great! I read 3 & 4 just because I didn't want to dnf a series and also to find out the ending.
The cliffhangers at the ends of the first 3 books are the best part of all the books.

My first read of 2025 was a doozy.
I remember really liking Madison Kate. I'm pretty sure Hades is going to blow her out of the water.
I can't remember what happened in Madison Kate because my brain disease leaves me with short term memory like a goldfish, so some of it was confusing. Like, am I supposed to know this or not? But I just went with it and figured enough out.
There's lots of sex, lots of suspense, lots of mystery. I like Hades, I like her 3 love interests. I'm super excited to see how this story unfolds and what happens.
The audio is again, fantastic. Lucas Webley and Noelle Bridges are phenomenal in this duet narration. I'm so happy to get to listen to them throughout the series.

Was a bit worried after obsessing over the Madison Kate series last year, Hades wouldn't be as good but so far I'm just as invested after book 1.

Tate starts this one off with a bang....literally!
The spin off of the MK series is everything and then more. I honestly describe it MK but on crack. The sass is there, the spice is there, and sexual tension is palpable.
Hades/Harper is probably one of my favorite female MC's in a while. I always connect with female MCs in some way, but Hades' personality is so easy for me to connect with, probably bc she has some habits that are very similar to mine. She is strong yet we get to see that underneath the rough and business exterior there is a women whose emotions are just as strong, but she is scared to let them out...bc how can she when she has an empire to run??
The boys are all different in some way, which I actually enjoy. They are not all "friends" like we saw with the boys in the MK series, and each are different and bring something to Hades that she needs. Lucas is the sweet, innocent younger man who is not apart of Hades empire or life, and she feels like she can be the real "her" with him. Cas is the older man that Hades has been crushing on for a while, but also has the ability to face Hades' dominating personality head on and then can take charge...which Hades secretly wants/desires. And then we have Zed, her second but also her best friend, who has been with her through ALL her trauma (you will learn about it as you read). He knows the old Hades but also the new one, and he is there for both.
As always, the plot is well crafted and the romance is balanced well between all three men...I am so excited to continue with this series.

After reading Madison Kate, I couldn't wait to dive into Hades story! This is the second series set within the Shadow Grove universe. 7th Circle was nothing like what I was expecting and completely surpassed my expectations! This is hands down my favorite Tate James series to date.
We finally meet Hades, a 23 year old gang leader. She is fierce, badass, and feared by many. The one thing I love about Hades is that she refuses to let anything come between her and her goals in life. She is headstrong and committed to changing the way things were done in the past and make the best possible life for herself and her sister Persephone. We get to meet each of her leading men in this first book. Her relationship with Lucas is definitely the fastest and easiest for Hades to admit to. He's someone new in her life, and it's easier for her to shed her Hades skin and just be Hayden with him. Her and Cass definitely tip toe around each other for a while. They never can seem to be on the same page with each other in this book, but the chemistry is definitely there. Last but certainly not least we have Zed. Zed is Hades best friend and second in command. Not much happens between them romantically in this first book, but you can definitely start picking up context clues over what will happen with them in the future.
7th Circle is action packed, high paced, spicy, and so much fun to read. This is one series I will forever recommend to readers!

Better thank MK so far. Hades is tolerable and less dumb! Woo.
