Pretty good read. A little slow to start but fun overall.

Any pride and prejudice adaptation is going to be slightly adorable, but pretty weak prose.

Payne does a great job at incorporating all the story beats of pride and prejudice into a modern setting. As always Mrs Bennett is an intolerable character and I had to keep reminding myself that's the point.
I will admit I nearly dnfed 3 times, and found many elements cheesy, hard to sit through and felt there were some lines that were unnecessary and distracted from the story.

This is a great book, but I realized I like the ones who pick up after Jane Austen’s  books instead of the ones which move them to another place and/or time.
