Very cute and funny. LOVED all the Pride and Prejudice references. I liked this book more than the first which barely happens with sequels.

I just got bored. The tropes are too tropey and not funny enough to keep my attention.

"Charlotte Pettifer had lived twenty-one years in the world with a great deal to distress and vex her, but Alex O'Riley was the worst of all."

Oh, how much fun I had.

I love this author's writing style, I just love it. It's delightfully nonsensical in a way that makes enough sense not to throw you off, it's hard to explain, but I love it!

This book is not without flaws (I'd say the plot is barely there, the main relationships falls prey to the instant attraction trope and the main characters aren't as fleshed out as they could be) but, oh, what can I say. I love me some good Jane Austen references, some Emma Woodhouse-like heroine and a dismayingly attractive male love interest. Charlotte and Alex, you will always be dearly beloved by me, even if your relationship and attraction to each other was surface level at best!

Once again, this book is saved by the author's writing style, much on the same vein as the previous one. These might not be a great read to some, but they are FUN. Loved the wit, loved the chemistry, loved the tomfoolery.
