The first had enough charm and whimsy to counterbalance the romance (and that romance was at least slightly balanced and logical). This sequel is baseless romance in the forefront...and not a lot in the background.
I personally did not enjoy the writing style? It took me out of the story.

I love this series so much. I think I liked this one better than the first one. Exactly the delightful nonsensical story I need to break up some hefty books. 🥰
