This was just as charming and delightful as the first book. I had so much fun reading it and am stoked to read book three next.
I just wish it hadn't been so thoroughly overflowing with Jane Austen references — I'm sure if you're familiar with her work it adds to the experience but as someone who's never read anything by her, it did take away from the story a bit.

I love this one! I'm enjoying every book in this series so far! There's even more magic and flying houses. Pirates and witches (even though witches don't exist)! My new favorite character might just be Charlotte. If you like Stardust or Howl's Moving Castle, you might like this series as well!

Fun and lighthearted with relatively low stakes. Loved the magic in the Victorian era premise. Scenes are well described for imagination and often very comedic. Enjoyed the central romance.
