All controversy about the author aside, this was a 1,024 page page-turner about violence against women and right-wing hate. It was well-written and a good addition to the series and furthering developing the characters. I could see how it being about an online hate campaign could be self-indulgent. I don't condone what she's tweeting but found no evidence of the same in the book (not that it lets her off the hook).

Way too long winded . Could have been 200 pages shorter.  Loved the first books but not the last book so much

*3.5 stars. It pains me to give this that low of a rating, cuz I’m normally giving these books 5 stars. But this story dragged on forever and I couldn’t say I was ever invested in the mystery, I couldn’t care less who Anomie was (and actually guessed it halfway through). But I love Strike & Robin as always, although Strike was a right git in this. I will continue obviously, just bummed this was such a letdown.

More like 3.5 stars. This was definitely not one of my favorites from this series. I’m basically sticking it out for the develop of Cormoran and Robin’s relation (or should I say lack of

Loved the concept of this book. The only thing I wish for was a longer description of after and what happened in the aftermath.
