I enjoyed this audio, but like with Ainslie's debut motherthing, the ending wasn't great. I'll just leave it at that. It wasn't for me, which is fine.
I wanted to enjoy this book a lot more given that Hogarth’s first book was my first 5 star read of the year, but it fell flat for me. It starts off strong, starts to slow in the middle, then the last 1/3 of the book is such an up and down roller coaster that pulls you right in with all the twists and turns. There were 30 pages left and I was really wondering how it was all going to wrap up, but overall, I wasn’t as impressed as I wanted to be and I felt that there were times the plot just wasn’t progressing despite the pages passing. However, it’s a short enough read at just over 300 pages that has it’s witty/great moments that makes it worth the read if the book sounds even slightly enticing to you
