The plot was good but I found the characters a bit one dimensional. I will be interested to see how they develop.

A new author and new series for me and its a great start as we are introduced to DCI Bone who is talked into coming back to his job whilst on long term sick leave. It appears that the long since dead serial killer who put Bone on leave is perhaps not as dead as it seemed, despite apparently blowing himself up.
Fast paced, great characters (and not too many to keep track of) and a flowing storyline that never runs the risk of getting too complicated.  It is gruesome at times, counteracted but some lovely moments of humour, largely between the cops on Bone's team. Highly recommended and definitely a series I'll be continuing.

Scotland. The Peek-a-Boo killer is dead, having blown himself up and seriously injuring DCI Duncan Bone in the process. But now there seem to be a copycat and Bone is called back to duty and lead his team before another murder occurs.
An entertaining and well-written mystery. A good start to the series.

I throughly enjoyed this. Everything a police thriller should be.

Intense, dramatic and full of police speak! I loved it.

I think I might be a little bit in love with DCI Bone. And I can’t wait for more of this series to see what else it brings.

This is the first book in the DCI Bone series and a debut for author T.G Reid.

I can honestly say I loved this! I loved the characters, I loved the writing (especially from being just outside of Glasgow myself) and the overall theme of the story.
Duncan Bone is a cop brought back from sick leave to lead the case on a copy cat killer of one of his past cases. He works with his team to track down the killer while being tormented by the past and to try and stop there being any more victims.

This was a fantastic first book, having me hooked from the first chapter and I am definitely going to be keep my eyes peeled for the next book in the series!
