I absolutely love Wells's story! Wells Covington lives his billionaire playboy with an in your face zeal. Even his closest friends don't his whole truth and the good he does. He is a ruthless business man who goes through women like water and likes his life the way it is. His carefully controlled life turns on a dime when he meets the person who dared vandalize his new building. Meadow is smart and driven to help others. She has a past she would like to forget but that is part of what drives her. She is determined to hate Wells Covington and everything he stands for, but when he doesn't turn her over to the police she begins to rethink him, just a little. She is even more determined to get his building, even if means being nice to Wells. No spoilers here, just know that their chemistry is instant and off the charts and and as their drama heats up, secrets from the past come back and threaten to ruin everything for both of them. I love the intrigue, drama, the other characters and they definitely steam up the pages!!! Such addition to the series!

Wealthy Playboy by Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell is part of their Cocky Suits series. Each book is a stand-alone novel that can be read in any order. However, for the sake of character introduction, I recommend it is read in chronological order.
If you have read previous novels by these authors you have already met Wells Covington, he is a client of the Collins brothers with deep pockets, questionable morals and secrets he rather be kept in the dark. He always seems to be 5 steps ahead.
In this novel, you get to see a softer side of him. You'll learn that he isn't what it seems and he is always ahead because his mind never stops. He examines every possible turn that can take in his line of work.
Meadow Calson is an angel with a mind like a steel trap. She stops at nothing to get what she is after, even if that something costs more than a kidney, liver and possibly your first born. Her plans get derailed when the outcome doesn't quite match what she had planned.
This book is a slllloooowww burn. The tension between the characters is thicker than mud. The fact that both think alike makes their hijinks hilarious and enjoyable. What really did it for me was the ending. I was sucked in to the lives of these characters. I felt like I was part of the family enjoying the success. I highly recommend this novel.

Ok, so this just got quite emotional! This book started with two extremely smart, head strong people who are so driven in their careers that it's only natural they will clash. There is a very high likelihood they will butt heads, and do it often. And they do to some extent, but the sexual tension between them softens the blows some. Both these characters are so hard core in the business world, and they have a take no prisoners attitude. Only difference is, he's in it for the money as well as the control. She's in it for a greater good. To help others. Both keep their personal lives private, and both have secrets they are keeping from the other, as well as the rest of the world. These secrets come out at the worst possible time and cause great turmoil for the couple, before they even really formed a solid relationship. There are laughs throughout (mostly coming from the side characters, whom you may know if you've read any of the other books in this series.) About 70% in though, it takes a turn into the Kleenex zone. Be warned. Tears will fall. There is some sexual content, that is pretty darn hot, but honestly, there's not a lot. The story isn't really about that. Oh don't get me wrong, the tension is all there and the want is there. And it is still suitable for mature readers. It's a well told story that is easy to read. It alternates between POVs.

*I received an ARC of this book.

Anyone else amazed by the fact this is the seventh book in this series... and such a great series too! I was a bit saddened in this one though ...since a tragedy happens... that brought some horrible memories back for me. My father passed by brain cancer and some of the reflection in this book just made me sob horribly. I’m just giving a heads up to anyone with this trigger.

What did I like? Wells has shown up in several books in this series, rich, pompous, and always with a couple of girls on his arms. Although in this book one woman catches his eye... and they play a cat and mouse game that totally intrigues Wells. I loved the ending though... great work guys!

Would I recommend or buy? So I’ll be honest... I love this series but tear jerkers are not my favorite books. There are some sad notes in this one that wasn’t felt in any other book and I sometimes resent authors for this. If I want to cry I’ll watch a Disney movie. Both authors display a funny joking demeanor and I just didn’t think they had it in them to make me cry but that just goes to show how talented they are really becoming.

I read a complimentary ARC and voluntarily left a review! Five stars!

Ah, Wells and Meadow. This pair couldn't be more perfect for each other. It takes quite the journey to get them there - a journey full of revelations, revealed secrets, and learning to trust - and I've gotta say that Wells Covington is everything I expected him to be and more.
This may be the most emotional of the series with parts being of the tearjerker variety. It certainly felt that way for me, especially with life mirroring a certain event in the story. Of course, we also get plenty of the good kind of feels too, and as always, these authors write a story you can get lost in. So, this 7th in the series may have ramped up the angst, but I think I loved these characters that much more for everything they went through on their road to each other.
Each book in this series has set the bar high for the next, and this writing duo has met that challenge every single time. Needless to say, I've come to expect quite a lot from Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf, and once again, they didn't disappoint. Wealthy Playboy is a great combination of love, loss, family, friendship, and hope. It's another brilliant couple in a whole series of brilliant couples.

The book that so many have been waiting for...the fall of Wells Covington. Cocky, arrogant and absolutely gorgeous man has his layers peeled back in this book and you get to see a side of him that you never knew existed. Totally unexpected. Meadow is unlike any of the other women in this series and she is not Wells type at all! This book was funny, hot and emotional! Well done!
