I really wanted to give this ONE star but at some points the writing was easy and fun to read. The book, however, is a drag. And I hate the main characters for the sole reason of their stupidity.
I finished the movie today and let me tell you this, it is much, MUCH better than this crappy book.

fun book! especially after reading so many sad books recently, this one was lighthearted and easy to read. i did not love that it was written fully through a letter writing and messaging format just because some things seemed less realistic but it was fun to read. it was also pretty slow at times and contained some unnecessary conversations between characters that just kind of took away from the main plot. but, i also love the movie of this book so it was cool to see the inspiration taken from the book for the movie.
Perhaps a 2.5 stars.
The entire time I was reading this story, I kept on wishing it would end for multiple of reasons. One was because I knew the main characters would finally get together at the end, and I hate waiting for characters to just be together, and another reason was because I hated reading a story told entirely with emails and letters and instant messaging.

I read this book because I read somewhere that it was similar to a book that I had read and loved. The reasons this book didn't work for me were all personal reasons. I really did not like that the story was written as notes, or texts, or emails. Not to be harsh, but it was just annoying for me. Nonetheless, I was able to push through and somehow finish this book. I think the thing that I didn't like most was how long it took for the Rosie and the true love of her life to get together and then when they did the book was over literally two seconds later. It just felt like the book was building up to this huge moment that everyone wanted and just ended in a lackluster kind of way.

at first I was a bit unsure of the format but their lives were portrayed so perfectly and with the epilogue tying it all together! this one hit exceptionally hard
