I had already watched and fell in love in with the movie Love, Rosie long before I even realised it was a book. Naturally when I discovered the book I had to read it which is unusual as I will always read a book before seeing the film. The characters are captivating and I couldn't put the book down. But I also couldn't shake the frustration I felt when reading it which I suppose is testament to the power of the plot and storyline which Ahern has created.

amusing story, really liked it

¿Y las personas se quejan por esperar 5 minutos?, Ojalá que conocieran a Rosie y Alex

This book made me laugh and giggle and scream and cry. Made me so frustrated at how off Rosie and Alex's timing were. Made me ponder about the existence of love and whether or not it really lasts. Made me think about what fate has planned for us. Made me stay up till almost 3am to finish it. It broke my heart in so many ways, and for that, I absolutely LOVED it.

I normally quite like an epistolary format but in this it’s pretty disappointing. You hear about all the interesting things in letters AFTER each event, it’s like hearing a friend describe a film to you rather than watching it yourself.

Easy book to just dive right into and let yourself go for a ride. Hilarious. Frustrating at times. Hilarious again. And just simply the right book if you're looking for a quick escape. An epistolary novel from the start to the end.

I have no words. I feel like I know these characters and I love them with all my heart, and I’m so grateful that I got to follow them through all the ups and downs. Now I need to figure out how to move on with my life

There was a big fight that went on inside of me throughout this entire book. One side: these people are so stupid with the worst timing and really just need to open their damn mouths. The other side: people act exactly like this and it could and probably is the real lives of someone out there. But something that causes that much feeling can’t be bad, right?

I'm not usually one to read "romance" books, but this one grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go. It isn't what I'd call a typical romance, though. I did end most chapters yelling "You are both idiots!!!", but there were also a lot of touching moments and details about the love of family and friends and what it means to grow older. It was a sweet story, and I am sad that Hollywood has done something to it to merit an R rating which means I am probably better off not watching the upcoming movie.
