This was an entertaining, light book to read. It's written entirely in emails, IM and letters which made it interesting. It got a little long for me...
This book was at times frustrating and disappointing, not because it wasn’t written well, but because it depicts life so annoyingly real! This story shows how life truly can be, no sugar coating, no big fat perfect story with romance and happily ever after and always making the right choices. It reminds us how life and love and loss and hardship shape and form oneself over decades, and in a way how boring it all can be at times.
First I thought of giving it 5 stars for its realism, but then again, I wouldn’t give real life 5 stars either ;)
I enjoyed reading it! And definitely recommend!

This book has been on my TBR ever since 15 yo me watched Love, Rosie and fell completely in love.
I accidentally spoiled the ending to myself, because I wasn't aware that it's different than the movie. And I'm kind of glad I did, because I think I might have been frustrated and anxious through the book otherwise. Instead, I was just enjoying the ride. This book had me laughing a lot, and crying a LOT.
I was weary at first, because I was asking myself how could a book written through emails and texts and letters make me emotionally connect with it. But omg it does, and it had me crying a lot bc I felt for the characters.
There's just something about reading this book, and just thinking nonstop about what the right time truly means, when it's the right person.

Although this book took me a long time to finish I really enjoyed it. I wanted to smack the characters on numerous occasions but it was well written. I hadn't read a book in the form of letters between people before. It was a different style but I enjoyed it.

It seems wrong to give this book 3 stars when I literally couldn't put it down. But at the same time, it irritated me beyond belief.
I'll admit, I saw the movie first. And the whole time I was reading, I kept comparing the book to the movie. And the book just came up lacking. In my defense of seeing the movie first, I didn't know it was first a book. I actually discovered the movie because of Tiktok and then after seeing the movie, I found out it was based on a book. At the time, I didn't really intend to read the book. But then something brought the book up and I was able to get it from the library and I couldn't put it down. Thank goodness I was alone at work yesterday because it allowed me to get a good start on the book.
While the movie did roughly follow the book, I preferred the movie timeline better. I really hate that Rosie and Alex didn't get together until they were 50 years old. Yes, they still have a lot of years to be together, but at the same time, there were so many wasted years! I did go and read a few reviews, so I knew to expect the drawn out time frame, but it was beyond frustrating too.

i hate to say it… i really hate to say it…. the movie was better. telling a story entirely through emails/texts/letters sounds very interesting in theory, but in reality reading 450 pages of it dragggssssss. this entire book was a big fat miscommunication and it was so frustrating. it couldve been 200 pages shorter and 5x better.
going to watch the movie now and relive my fond memories of mr. sam claflin as alex.

Have never been so confused about a book before. I hated and liked it. No words to describe it. In the start i was all happy about it at the end i was too frustrated to care. So a 3 star rating justifies this book. In my perspective.
DNF @ Chapter 7
I got this book in my book advent calendar last christmas. I was willing to give it a go but ... what do you mean the whole thing is written via instant messages, emails and letters? There's nothing else? It just felt hard to connect to it at all.
