I loved this book but also hated it so much. There was just something there that continued to keep me turning those pages. You could see there was love but I also just want to scream at the characters for being the way they were. Yet I felt the love and care throughout and still hated how they treated each other at the same time.

It’s taken me a long time to write this review for this book because I have no idea how to express my thoughts about this book. It’s definitely a complicated love story and I feel just that with this book.

"And as the magical silence once again embraced them, after fifty years, all they could do was look at each other. And smile."

I love Alex and Rosie so much. A reread of this brought me so much joy.

I started reading this because the film is one of my favorite movies ever. That being said, I’m already in love with the story and invested in the plot so please take that into account. The novel really lengthens their frustrating timing of finally being together, and I felt like if I didn’t love the movie as much as I do I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much (found it tough to get through at times.) The middle bit was quite lengthy. My kobo also kind of messed up the formatting since the book is written exclusively in letters, emails, text messages, etc. so it was a pain to read sometimes. This detail makes the novel unique but I also found myself missing second person paragraph writing at times.

Still, all in all it’s ones of the best best friends to lovers storylines and I’ll always hold a special place in my heart for Alex and Rosie.

Only four stars because I’m a sucker for the film adaptation (and the storyline overall) but if I never knew of the film this would get a high 2, low 3 from me :(

A great summer beach read!

Love, Rosie is absolutely adorable. I’ve been waiting ages to get my copy in the library but there’s always a million other people waiting for it. So I gave up, went on a short getaway to a neighbouring country, and bought the damn book. I flew through Love, Rosie so quickly, that I needed and wanted more. I have yet to see the movie but I worry that what I envisioned for Love, Rosie would be ruined.

Love, Rosie is told in a series of emails between Rosie and her best friend Alex. It starts from where they are merely kids and continued on as adults. Love, Rosie is your typical contemporary romance, but the email chains gives it a new twist. Its interesting, fascinating almost, kind of like you’re peeking into someone’s personal inbox. And it’s not just between Rosie and Alex — you get to see interactions between Rosie and her sisters, Alex and his brother, and so on. The story is absolutely heartbreaking, the ending sort of bittersweet.

Love, Rosie is something I would definitely recommend for those of you looking for a contemporary adult romance book that isn’t too cheesy but definitely a quick read!

The books was okay, maybe 3.5 stars. The format was fun and different since the entire book is written in letters, emails, IMs, holiday cards, etc. It was a cute enough story I just felt like it was longer than it needed to be, I also just wanted to scream at them to just tell each other how they felt, but story would haven't ended halfway through.

This book is one of the cutest books I ever read. Cecilia Ahern is good in writing cute little love stories. And this one won't dissapoint you!

The story is written in notes/letters/phonecalls/e-mails or chatsessions. And mostly go from Alex to Rosie or Rosie to Alex, although they would mail someone else during the book too.
I never read a book before with this kind of concept so this was so new to me. And I didn't really like it when I heard about it. But as soon as I start reading it; i fell in love.
In the first couple of letters they're only 8 years old or so, and they use the wrong grammar, they have cute little fights. You read along when Alex moves to the US, Rosie finishes highschool in Ireland and gets pregnant. Their first meeting, new partners etc.
I had to keep on reading, and I took all the free time I could find in this book. It reads very easily because the letters are very short, and you have to read the answer on the letter before.
You're finished before you know it.

It's an amazing book. One that I wouldn't mind to read multiple times!

I JUST FINISHED THIS BOOK AND IM ONLY GONNA SAY ONE WORD; AMAZING
