I enjoyed this. I would have loved to listen to the audio, but I ended up only reading the script. It felt like the scenes switched way too often and reading it made the issue of one.
Also, Lourna Dee is one of my new favorite Star Wars characters. If you want a fun, but layered, character I would highly suggest reading (or listening) to this.

I enjoyed this look into the past and inner workings of the Nihil, and the “radio drama” production was charming. But, I found it disappointing that Lourna Dee ended the book in exactly the same place she began, with little character growth to show for it.
I generally only dabble into the Star Wars novels. I tend to skip the short stories, comics, and audio dramas— and well, 90% of the Star Wars novels that are out there as well. There is simply too much media to consume in this series. But here I thought that I would give the full cast audio a shot and see how it goes. I regret to say that I made a mistake. This was not good. It wasn't bad either. It was simply okay. But with the audio only format I found that I really missed the narration portion describing the action and setting. I also found that the dialogue really bothered me. Without the other distractions to build the scene, the dialogue stood out as particularly bland and cliche. The jokes largely did not work for me and our main character was not incredibly interesting. Getting back story on the Nihil and Lourna Dee sounds so cool at first but really, it ended up not reaching the levels of hype I had built up for it. Tempest Runner would be a skip for me if I went back and told my past self what it was like.
Lourna Dee is a girlboss!
Marchion Ro sounds like a rawr xD softboy

Really interesting hearing Lourna’s past and how she got to where she was. This book was with a full cast so it was even more so like listening to a movie. I enjoyed it!
It was very interesting to see all these different sides of Lourna Dee, I definitely think Cavan Scott did a great job of fleshing her character out while keeping her true to what we've always known.
Great production quality (although the Wookiee noises were hilariously uncomfortable) but sadly it kinda made me like Lourna Dee less :( I might’ve had a better time reading the script along with the audio drama, but oh well
Production quality was off the charts, the story wasn't terrible, but it was like being on a Disney World ride.
