Out of all of the celebrity memoirs that I have read, this is by far one of the best. It is honest, and self-aware, and it is clear that the author has genuinely healed from the trauma that they have experienced. Highly recommended.

I would wholly recommend listening to the audiobook!

This book is heartbreaking, funny and inspiring. It’s so difficult to hear what Jennette was put through and my admiration for her only grew.

the part of the book where she started crying as she was reading really broke my heart, I’m so happy she’s doing better now ❤️

a glimpse into the exploitation of child actors

seamless transitions from chapter to chapter, had to read the book in chunks bc of how heavy it was

rating a memoir feels very icky to me personally. this is the first memoir I have read, and it was tense. the material was incredibly deep and shares how Jennette was emotionally, mentally, and physically assaulted by her mother, bosses, and previous relationships- as well as diving deep into her history with disordered eating. I couldn’t recommend this book enough- but make sure you check the trigger warnings and read when your in a good mental state because this book is incredibly deep.
