I’ve been meaning to read this series for almost a year now and I am finally getting to it.. because TBR problems. I am so glad I picked it up and finally started it. I loved, loved, LOVED how Zahra made Rowan come back to life after years of thinking he’d never be good enough. The story was superb and I’m excited for the 2nd and 3rd.

I may never understand why the girlies gave this book so much hate in the series. Rowan is flawed… very very flawed but I was still swooning and tearing up when he said “There’s nothing in the world I’ll find more beautiful then her. Not the sun. Not the moon. Not even the whole galaxy compares to the light she radiates wherever she goes”
Now … I do think we got to the resolutions a tad quickly, but it’s a romance novel… I mean yall it’s already 436 pages lol I was okay with this. Also it slow burned a lil for him to get to his feelings for her but by god!! She feel first and he fell harder. Admittedly I’ve reread this book a dozen times but I just feel like it’s such a cute read and I’m definitely taking notes for future relationship dates.

I loved the character development and the overall plot. However. I feel that a lot of the relationship was just lies and hiding things. Overall, a good book.

I love the character development through this whole book from showing how Zahra moved on from her ex to Rowan figuring out his head. Almost like Zahra was his missing piece. If I would make a 2021 book into a movie then this would be the one. It points out insecurities in the characters and it shows disabilities in other people. I mean it would be kind of a common 21st century movie but it'd make a good one.

Honestly, I don't know how this is a five star read but it was so good! I feel like this book shouldn't be good because of how mean Rowan was. But it was too cute when he was with Zahra
Even the grumpiest of men can fall in love and change who they were for the right woman! Such a happy ending!
