I really enjoyed this book. Easy to read and very engaging. Love the 1920's setting.

This was good.. but I often felt irritated by the story line which often felt like something out of Boston Love Letters. And I didn't feel like there was a really good ending. So it's 3 stars.

Definitely one of the best books I've read in a long time. It was enchanting. Much like Katie Kontent, I've awoken the last few days with Tinker Gray's name on my lips, wondering what he is up to. I was sad for this book to end and will miss the characters...always the sign of a good book in my opinion.

So beautifully written!!

A pretty good book filled with a bunch of unlikeable characters. Main characters a little manic pixie dream girl esque. But I enjoyed it.

As I shared with the friend who gave me her copy to read, I had no idea when opening this book that it would come at the perfect time in my life. As someone who often reminisces on past friends and the impact they’ve had on my life, this story was always going to strike a chord with me. However, the mixture of life’s everyday nonchalance with the sudden bursts of deep insight into the nature of human relationships was something wondrous to behold. In the briefest peaks into our main character’s past and reactions, Towles has created perhaps one of the most human characters of any great novel. I have quoted this book many times to my therapist, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I quoted it many times going forward as well.
