The first book in this series was great, but this one might be even better. Luke is getting more and more evil (and more misunderstood...aww) with each book, and now his evil has become personal. Action-packed, just like the first two.

Well, another Percy Jackson book read. I'm only reading this to see how it ends, I should note, not because they are great. This story has the same problems as the others, and the same good things. Good sense of humor, recognizable characters, bad plotting, cavalry saving the day multiple times....

This one also adds bad physics to the mix! Yay! Hint to authors...if you are inside a metal object (like an airplane or automobile or giant robot), lightning and power lines will not harm you in the slightest. This is because the lightning will travel around the outside of the object and leave things inside unaffected.

The plots main problem is that the books have all basically the same plot. Percy Jackson has to go on a quest to save someone. Every single time... It's so pathetic. If all 5 books end up being this way, I shall be quite vengeful in my review of the final book.

Now call me crazy but I didn’t like this as much as the previous two, for one reason and one reason only- I WAS ABSOLUTELY STARVED OF ANNABETH CONTENT BRING HER BACK!!! I really did realise in this book how much she is SO NEEDED like these teenagers are AT EACH OTHERS THROATS. bring back wise girl i miss her.

i know percy likes annabeth
i just wish he knew that too
(he will figure out he likes annabeth and annabeth likes him in book 5 )

percy should’ve mourned b and z more just saying!!!

this is kind of the book where percy becomes the sweetest most beloved version of himself like my guy stowed away on a quest to find annabeth, protected thalia from her fear of heights, saw aphrodite as annabeth, took the weight of the sky for artemis, panicked & wanted to throw up at the thought of annabeth joining the Hunt, found out his fatal flaw is loyalty, and accepted the burden of the big 3 kid prophecy to shield nico from the pressure & attention & reveal of his parentage like that’s my BOY
