I’m ashamed to admit this. Guys, I’m not nerdy enough to love “Lord of the Rings”. I AM nerdy, but evidentally not in a middle earth kind of way. I’m more of a crafting nerd or a middle-aged mom nerd or even a literature nerd. I pushed myself to include “Lord of the Rings” in my 2015 50 book challenge, so rushing through it probably didn’t help. I did love “The Hobbit”, which I found out is a baby book compared to “Lord of the Rings”. I can see how people get into the book, but for me, there was too much detail on minor characters, the topography, genealogy, walking, walking, walking and eating, eating, eating. I did like the story line, the use of all senses in the descriptions, and many of the characters. I don’t regret reading it, but I was ready to be done when I got to the end.
