I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I have so many thoughts about this book, but I'm also still processing so it'll be a little while before I get them all out. But, for now, let me say this book was fantastic. It also skirted the line between women's fiction and romance. I don't mind, but it's definitely light on the romance. Friendship, both past and present, is the real star of the story here. I got emotional several times during this book and every time it involved the friendship breakup or the bourgeoning friendship between Willa and Maisie. I felt several scenes very deeply and suspect anyone who has ever gone through a breakup with a friend will relate as well.

This has much more emotional depth than the preview blurb would have us believe. It’s not a simple enemies to lovers romance, but a story of friendships lost and friendships found. Willa, a successful lifestyle blogger, faces the worst heartbreak when she finds her best friend in bed with her fiancé just six weeks before her wedding. It throws her into a deep depression resulting in the loss of her job, her female friends, and her trust. However, when Maisie finds her in a coffee shop and begs her to pretend to be her friend and bridesmaid, it begins a journey of healing and believing that her heart can be trusted. When she finally gives up the idea of running from her heartbreak and chooses to embrace her family and new friends, she realizes that this new Willa is one worth sharing with her loved ones and her large social media following.

Love interest Liam is a wonderful book boyfriend. He’s gorgeous, compassionate, successful, and honest. Despite her hesitancy to trust her heart and her instant dislike of him after he laughs at her humiliation at a birthday party, he manages to crash through her defenses and have her start to believe that she can have a second chance at love.

The supporting cast of characters, including her sister Sophie, sister-in-law Glory, precocious nieces, feisty octogenarian neighbor Ruthie, and even Maisie’s monster-in-law, Mrs. Forsyth, add color, humor and balance to this heartfelt and endearing story of female friendship and romance. A worthy debut!

I received a complimentary ARC of this book from Berkley through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

I really enjoyed this book so much more than I expected. This was a random book I discovered at Barnes and Noble one day and decided to try. I'm so glad I did.

If you read this book, don't go into it thinking it's a rom-com or a cute romance book, because it's not. The romance is there, but it's really just a subplot. This book mostly focuses on two women who find each other when they need a friend the most.

It was so sweet and heartwarmingly beautiful. I loved almost every little thing about this book. The only thing I hated was how long Willa was adamant about not getting close to Maisie because someone had wronged her in the past. But Maisie never gave up, and I adored that.

I do wish there had been more to the ending, but I'm not at all mad at it.

I'm still debating on 4 or 4.5

Oh Willa. Her life has taken a bad turn, but she keeps herself in that lane for way too long. I know there is no time frame to get over finding your best friend in bed with your fiancée, but she wallowed in her pain. But with all this wallowing she finds herself in laughable situations over and over again. Dressing up for kid’s parties does not go as planned. Being a bridesmaid for Maisie had me laughing out loud so many times. The good thing is that by keeping herself busy has brought her around to finding ways to be happy again.

I enjoyed how understanding her sister is while still pushing her to get out of her funk and start living again. I laughed at all the self-help books that were left around all while Willa was having no part of it. The nieces were sweet and so true to how little ones are that I felt like they were exactly what Aunt Willa needed.

The Wedding Ringer is a sweet and fun book. I laughed many times and shook my head at Willa just as much.

These reviews really bamboozled me. ZERO for the romance. Heroine was a big baby. Only reason it gets two stars is for female friendships.

Willa is honestly pretty dang hilarious in her down on luck state.

I did like Liam but there really wasn’t a ton of romance.

Honestly, it felt more of a finding yourself/ your people story.

I did really enjoy that. Especially her budding friendship with Maisie.

I want to start off by saying I received this book for free and in return, I will give my honest review!

Overall this really was a good book about friendship, heartbreak, and "letting down your guard to love again." To me, contemporary romances kind of feel like Hallmark movies sometimes and this leaned more towards that point of view - which can be bad but I think the main character, Willa's, sarcastic personality helped make it more relatable.

Willa though... frustrated me for most of the book but I think the main women characters in contemporary romances frustrate me because they are oblivious and act dumb and irrational. I also felt like Maise... her boss/friend or whatever she ended up as seemed like the type of friend that wouldn't be Willa's friend if that makes sense?

I did enjoy the romance between Liam and Willa - he overall seemed like a great guy that was funny and likable. While this book was kind of corny I think the whole friendship aspect was great and heartwarming. My favorite part though was Willa dealing with her ex-best friend and ex-fiance. To me that seemed rawer and the way she honestly handled it was reasonable and understandable. I feel like it was good to read about it and the process of dealing with it.

This was a good book - not my favorite by far but I am happy I finished it and would recommend to my fellow Hallmark Romance lovers!

This book was absolutely wonderful! I loved how it dealt with recovering from pain and loneliness and showed the importance of all kinds of love. I enjoyed going through Willa's journey with her and seeing her get her happily ever after in many ways. This book brings hope, happiness and all the love!!
