Ok, I didn't finish it, but I really couldn't stand it anymore. I'm done.
I enjoyed Sleeping Beauties. I’ve read where people have complained that the ending is another Stephen King mess (see Under the Dome), but I disagree. Yes, it wrapped up quickly, and certain plot points could have used some additional explanation, but what I like about it is that there is no clear-cut “Oh, that’s why all this happened” moment. Was it aliens? Maybe. Was it angels? Possibly. Does it have to be all wrapped up in a neat little bow with no questions unanswered? Not at all.

I’m going to DNF the book at 547, it’s SO SLOW OMGG. Through the whole book King really pushes this man hating narrative and I found myself tabbing so many spots where the characters are being blatantly sexist. Another issue I have is how many damn POV their are jeez, calm down I don’t need to know about a fox ??? I didn’t connect with or even like ANY of the characters, partially because you could never really sit and get to know anyone. MMMM I WOULDA LET THAT STUFF SLIDE IF NOT LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE MALE CHARACTER IN THIS BOOK HAD ANGER ISSUES AND/OR WAS A COMPLETE PIG!! This book was soooo political it’s not even funny, if you aren’t a hardcore feminist you will be continuously rolling your eyes about how absolutely ridiculous it is. Ugh I’m done talking about this stupid book 1 star 180%.

I hated most of the characters in this book but they were well written and very nuanced, most of them were just terrible people or they were terrible in the way most people are. All of them flawed all of them interesting a good book over all.
