The cover is gorgeous. I love looking at it. It matches the Mara Dyer series so well.
I didn't have a problem with the content of this book.
I thought reading from Noah's perspective was good. I enjoyed it. Somewhat. I did have some difficulty understanding some things. There were several confusing sentences that didn't seem to fit. Eventually, I realized that there was no deciphering some of his thought structure and just kept on reading through it. However, I did like the voice of Noah despite some of the trouble I had.
Mara was a very...creepy character in this series. She didn't seem like the same person from the Mara Dyer series.
I really liked the mesh of old and new characters. It was really fun to see them all interact together.
But the dialogue between them sometimes.....was way off and SO unnatural. It was pretty awful sometimes and didn't tend to flow well most of the time.
Also, can I point out that literally NOTHING happened in this book? Like, where was the plot? The plot was nowhere to be seen until about the last 30 or so pages of this freakin book! That's 330 pages where NOTHING HAPPENS! It was super frustrating and just went on for too long. It tried to be such a horror book and fell short. It should have grounded itself as a thriller/suspense and worked on that aspect more rather than making it a giant mystery/horror novel.
I had such high hopes for this book and I feel very let down. Not sure I'll finish this series but the covers are so gorgeous....I don't know. We'll see.

Soooo, still kinda sad about how most things turned out in the ending, but that epilogue gave me hope. I think I would’ve been satisfied with everyone’s story ending with the Mara Dyer trilogy but I can see the potential for this series.... I hope things get resolved early on in the next book bc I hate tension and separations 💔😭

This did take me a while to read but worth it I love Noah; not just his demeanour and how he acts but everything he says is so relatable and it feels like emotionally connecting with a character I love it - I do love all the other characters too and this second storyline is so good but my god Mara annoyed me so much this book; she kept getting involved when she shouldn’t and now I see it’s probably because she was the guilty one all along. Either way, onto the next!

I loved Noah as a narrator.
The story was great and as intruging as the Mara Dyer series!
lots of mystery and fcked up stuff happend, and no clue whats actually going on, but there is a greater purpose
