Overall it was fun, if a bit bland. The two main characters were loveable and what little supporting cast was there were decent. The prose was quite lacklustre, though I enjoyed the difference in descriptions when the POV switched between Maddie and Saff.
Initially I was going to dock at least a point for the A.I. cover, but the author stuck to her promise and recently released a non A.I. cover and apologised for her mistake, so credit to her.

This book was a fantastic read! The suspense kept me hooked and on the edge of my seat the entire time. Nicole Maser’s vivid and descriptive writing brought every scene to life, making it easy to feel immersed in the story. The balance between action and romance was spot-on, and the relationship between Saff and Maddie developed at just the right pace—natural and engaging. Overall, it was an exciting, well-crafted story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’d rate it a solid 4.5/5!

Enjoyed the narration. Felt like the main character shouldn't have survived, maybe both shouldn't have. The ending felt too happy. Zombies weren't really a main focus of the book.
