i just read it while on summer holiday and, even though it might not be a fitting time, it hooked me from the first page. i loved this dearly. the characters have made a big impact on me, especially because of the disability representation we see too rarely. it was written with so much love and care. the relationships were very beautiful and the slow burn was perfectly executed. sometimes it felt a bit too dragged for my liking, but that’s my only negative. highly recommend!!

A sapphic zombie apocalypse book?! Heck yes! I loved the inclusion of a blind character. Some parts of this were a little repetitive to me, like word choice, especially surrounding dialogue/ non-verbal communication like nodding, but I still really enjoyed this book and story!

This book had me feeling so many emotions at once. It was so good and the characters are written well and wow I never realized how much I needed a romance story in a zombie apocalypse until now and I need more of it!! This is my third book I’ve read from this author and I’ve loved each one.

If we’re going on the plot alone I’d have to give it 3 stars but I had to add an extra star for the beautiful love story between Saff and Maddie. As soon as I heard this was a zombie novel I was intrigued and the added lesbian love story was a plus. I adore zombie media and sapphics so this is like the perfect combo for me. I just wish the plot was more captivating, the lack of action for a zombie novel was kind of disappointing and just felt like the action was missing, don’t get me wrong there was action but not enough for a zombie novel in my opinion. That being said I adored the love story and their dynamic, I also loved all of Maddie’s family making it to the end and practically caring for Saff like their new daughter, and Maddie’s dad being the caring dad that Saff never had at the end was beautiful.
