I loved this story so much!! The tension between the characters is crazy hot and intense. It is humorous, but at the same time tugs on your emotions. I loved how it was not completely a romance, there was some action packed in there too.
I loved the novella Enchant but this book was a little too much for me. I'll definitely continue the series!

I got this book for review and honestly wasn't really sure if I'd enjoy it or not. The whole new adult/coming of age genre isn’t something I always sway towards but recently have found a couple I like so I keep trying different ones.
Elite by Rachel Van Dyken is a book that from the cover and description seems like something completely different than what it ends up being. The story revolves around Tracey Rooks who just got accepted on an amazing scholarship to the move exclusive college there is outside Chicago. We meet the Elect almost immediately upon her arrival the college and that includes Nixon a controlling bastard or is he really?
The things I loved about this book is the story. It started off as one thing but eventually became about something entirely different that revealed the truth behind it all. Van Dyken does a great job revealing the mystery to the reader with little hints and clues that lead to you realize things aren’t exactly as they seem. Though I will say I wasn’t expecting the final twist on what the truth was.
I didn’t find much to dislike in this book. A few spots I felt were a bit slow but beyond that it was well written and fun to read.
I have to say that I highly recommend Elite and think that it’s a great venture into new adult! Also something completely different from other college based stories I’ve read. Overall 4/5 stars and I can’t wait to read the next book!

HOOKED!! On to book 2..nervous and anxious just the way I like it!!
3 This is the third time I've read this and I enjoy it more every time I read it. This world is a comfort place for me and it's where I met my number 1 BB. I won't ever stop re-reading for falling in love with this story and that's a credit to not only Rachel Van Dyken's writing, but the world she's created.
1I wasn't sure what this was when I started it. But it quickly came to me. I have a feeling this series is going to be something wonderful. This isn't the first RvD book I've read and I really enjoy the writing. It's not too much. I also have a weakness for Mafia books.

This has GOT to be one of the best series I have ever read. I absolutely loved every second of every book. It isn't the sort of book I'd normally read, but I was hooked from the first chapter
This is a beautiful, horrible book.
If you go into this book expecting a literary masterpiece, you are going to be vastly disappointed. However, if you are looking for a quick, enjoyable read, that doesn't make you think, this is great!
The writing is mediocre, the plot predictable, and the characters cliche, however, it is still engaging, very enjoyable, with great sassy dialogue. Basically, I felt like I was reading fanfiction, but very, very good fanfiction.
Minor spoilers:
All in all, if you want a enjoyable book, but aren't looking for anything dense or thought provoking, this is a amazing book!

There is one part that deals with rape allegations and slut shaming that is questionable, however, it is handled well later in the book, so I could deal with it.All in all, if you want a enjoyable book, but aren't looking for anything dense or thought provoking, this is a amazing book!
Mafia and college and passion combine to make a so so new adult novel. Kinda saw where the story was going about 1/3 of the way through.
