Although Millie can be described as a complicated or insufferable, there were many moments where some could relate to her character's inner thinking and reactions. I loved her character, I saw myself in her and at time, she expressed my deeper feelings into words that I couldn't describe. This satirical and depressing book is something I'll hold close to my heart dearly lol

Meh. The story, while ok, didn't spark any... anything... no joy, shock, inspiration, anger, unease it just was. I was interested at first then it just annoyed me that it was going nowhere. It was just words on a page.

it just made me feel like i had to up my lexapro prescription. the writing was funny but overall felt like there wasn't much point to the book as a whole. after reading rest and relaxation by ottessa moshfegh and this, i dont think i need to explore this genre much further haha
