This one was “jus okay.” I’m used to CoHo books drawing me in instantly and this one just seemed to drag on and not really have much of a point or plot.
Me puse al día con Colleen. Ya lloré con lo que escribió Colleen. Ya me enamoré de lo que escribió Colleen.

I loved this one.
Maybe cause I’m a twin, albeit not identical, but I really resonated with Merits angst, independence, individualism, desire for truth, and feeling so misunderstood.
Other ratings indicated this was not a CH favorite, but I thought it was really good! Would love to know where the family is now!
Loved:
The names, aside from Utah.
Moby; he seems like the cutest kid ever.
Moby & Utah’s positive morning routine.
The car ride with Luck
Lucks weirdly sporadic accents.
Momma Wolfgang.
Dollar Voss
Merits trophy’s.
Merits letter.
“Bitch you!”

It’s not my fav coho but I definitely liked it!! It was one of those books that made me want to keep reading the whole time and wanted to find out what would happen next! I liked the themes it explored like mental health, depressive symptoms, and suicide. I really like seeing this representation in books! Overall this was a beautiful story with such an important message too but I didn't really feel like it left me with anything it definitely could have been better than it was
I will never understand how some Colleen Hoover books are absolutely amazing while others are literally the worst novels I have ever read. This one fell into the worst category. I have never met a heroine that I hate more. I don't even think it can be classified as a romance. Save yourself the time and skip this one.

I really wasn’t sure where this book was going at first. It’s definitely different and some of the characters are odd. But I think it all really came together in the end and I really appreciate the message of the book!
This was my second CoHo book and I loved it! It took me a bit to get into (around 100 pages) but after that I flew through it. I really enjoy how Hoover writes her books. Her contemporary books aren't just the typical boy meets girl, they fall in love, argue, and get back together. Although that formula can be seen there are so many other plot points going on which makes it more interesting. I am excited to read her other books that I own!
