Very easy read. Some drama here and there but I really enjoyed it after having read some heavier books lately. I wouldn’t say it’s anything groundbreaking but it was great bedtime ready and the spicy scenes were good 👀✨.

RUN LUCY RUNNNNN

Arguably the least romantic book I’ve read in TIME. Kate was insufferable and just a bad person most of the time, and this book was the EPITOME of being tell not show. Also so incredibly boring. Lowkey problematic at times too. If it wasn’t a short audiobook I would’ve DNF’d, and even though I didn’t, I dreamt of doing it at least four times. Glad it’s over. Maybe Clare Lydon isn’t for me.

Tried the audio and quit at 52%. Both the story and the narration set my teeth on edge.

This was a fun, steamy sapphic romance. I found it to be a bit slow, and I wasn't a fan of the miscommunication between the two love interests. I still enjoyed the book. Not the best romance i've ever read, there are definitely better options out there, but if you are just looking for something fun, this might be the one for you.

Some super problematic language. Jess wasn’t very likeable, constantly making dumb decisions and lying to her girlfriend. Was really sad that Kate just disappeared after her car crash???? I felt it would have been a much better story if she hadn’t gotten together with Lucy in the end, and instead it hadn’t worked out with Lucy and then she got together with Kate.

The premise of this sounded good but the reality just didn’t do it for me.

It took wayyyyyy too long for the romance to actually begin (more than halfway though the book).

Didn’t really care about any of the characters and the romance once it did kick into gear was just kind of meh.

Even the drama with the ex one night stand and the actual ex was tepid at best.

Overall it felt like maybe three chapters worth of actual content between our main pairing and just a whole lot of filler scenes with her friends, family and coworkers - which might have been fine in a 400 page book but in shortish stories like this it just felt like a drag.
