This is my first romance reread. I returned to the series because it is comfort food. It's the best of both worlds of romance: modern romance interrupted by regency voices. And honestly, aren't successful-in-life men seeking to educate themselves about women, feminism, emotions, intimacy, and romance literature the dream fantasy? I love a good celebrity relationship, brotherly comedy, independent mom main character.
My review is completely biased because I've already read the series and I love it and I recommend it to modern romance readers. It's funny and charming and super relatable... Being in a lonely marriage is the worst kind of lonely. The only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is because some of the writing could be better and most of the problems are honestly dream problems that reveal THE typical romance problem: communication. oh no! I finally gave my wife a orgasm after 3 years but since she's been lying about it, I'm not going to talk to her and won't figure my s*** out. Oh no! My husband's been secretly going to a romance book club with his equally successful friends to help our marriage, so I'm going to shut him out. If only most marriage problems were so convenient to solve.

Y’all…I finished this book in about 3 days, which is unheard of for a slow poke reader like me. But I could not put it down!
This book was so charming, and there was never a dull moment. The characters were well-rounded, the dialogue was relatable, the concept was unique, and Gavin’s stutter was “beautiful”
