Bracken created an interesting world in Lore, where Greek Olympian gods and goddesses are present in the modern world. The world- and mythology-building were a bit jarring at first (but that's mostly me when it comes with fantasy/scifi novels), but once it got going, it really got going. The action was fun and exciting to follow. And there were a lot of secrets and mysteries that will you reading. Some of the dialogue and the character writing were a bit off. (In particular, Iro is someone I'd like to know, but she wasn't given enough time to really introduce herself and grow.) And that ending was quite underwhelming. But it's still a good and exciting tale.

Most everything about this book was good, except the characters were kinda not very memorable. I only really liked Miles... and that's basically it. Oh, and Athena. But other than those two, everyone else was a bit meh. I found Lore kinda annoying, because she was way too impulsive and hot-headed and also her whole personality revolved around living in NYC which was ludicrously annoying. I like the cover, I liked the nonstop action, etc etc, 4 stars.

greek mythology meets YA adventure and double mmc yessss

I had really high hopes for this book based off the synopsis. The execution of the storyline fell a little short of the idea for the book. Decent read but nothing exceptional.
