Hmmm... This volume really bothered me with the way Dojo treated Iku, the decision he made for her. I like their romance, but the fact that he's her superior and he treats her differently because he has feelings for her really bothers me a lot. The decision he made for her was not only embarrassing for her but could have been damaging to her career.

The Museum of Information is closing because it’s founder passed away. In his will, he left a treasure trove of documents, records, and books to the Library. The MBC can’t raid personal libraries, but now that it’s in the hands of the Library, they are free to go after it! Iku has been “benched” and is attending the funeral as the Director’s body guard, all because she has yet to tell her parents she’s a combatant, and this fight will surely be televised. Meanwhile, Tezuka and Instructor Dojo are on the front lines moving C-trains full of information from the Museum to the Library while MBC soldiers close in.

There is a lot of tension between Dojo and Iku in this one, which is where the "love" of "love & war" comes in. Tezuka has seemed to drop his suit on Iku, claiming that he only asked her out in the first place to see what was so special about her that everyone else saw. Dojo insists on protecting Iku in any way possible, and that includes shielding her from any situation where her name or picture might appear in the papers or on newscasts. This volume moved very quickly and didn't have many of the normal side characters in it because of all the focus on the two mains. The detailed illustrations are definitely going to be a plus when we get to the big battles between the MBC and the Library Force.

I'm still waiting to see why this series is rated Teen Plus from VIZ. There is nothing in this volume that warrants a plus rating.

What a cliff hanger!!!! I can say that this is definitely the volume that has me hooked on the series and officially emotionally attached to these characters. Instructor Dojo is such a little cinnamon roll in military clothing. I can't handle him most of the time (a good example is the shopping scene in the bonus pages at the end of this volume). What really got to me during this volume was that is once again showed the different type of power that were happening through this battle over censorship. Showing how talking and providing research to back up your words can be a lot more powerful in the right moment than physical action. But later in the volume it shows the opposite. Iku is faced with having to deal with past decisions playing a role in her current situation and this leads to many things happening throughout the volume. I loved this so much and the role Dojo played through out this had me tearing up a bit (total surprise to me since I didn't know I was that attached lol). I need to know what happens next because what a way to end it.
