A really fun romantic comedy. It's very worth listening to it.

Fun, though somewhat predictable. The first half of the book is very predictable, with the characters fairly one-dimensional, and the plot progressing too fast for any interesting sub-plots or twists. The second half of the book is better, with the characters gaining a little more depth, and the storyline and banter becoming a bit more humorous and interesting. The heroine also develops a bit more of a spine, which is appreciated. All together a harmless, fun Regency-era book, but not a must-read.

Nope.
I only finished two chapters, but that was enough. too much even!

I think this book was well written and I look forward to the movie, as I think it will be a lot of fun. I think the author did a great job with the language of the time, but it was just ok for me.

Mostly enjoyable. The ending was weird. The movie is much better and tightens up the story.

Do not get me wrong - I am VERY excited to see the onscreen adaptation of this book. Overall, enjoyable. Was the writing soooo good that I was absolutely moved? No. And there was lots of kissing behind close doors, but definitely not enough spice to make it salacious in a really good way by any means, so while I will likely not be seeking this out for repeated listening, it was fun, and if you love a regency romance and have moved beyond Bridgerton or want something a little tamer - I do recommend.

Very funny regency romance

Quick easy read. I didn't hate it but there are so many better books out there.

It was ok. Just ok.
funny lighthearted medium-paced
