I absolutely love Jagger Cole’s books. This is the second one I’ve read but definitely will not be the last. Without giving any spoilers, this world between the Greeks and the Irish is painted so realistically that it’s easy to fall into his books. This is an arranged marriage between two enemies but it develops quickly into more. Lots of twists and turns with amazing ending. Love the characters throughout this story and can’t wait to read other books to continue what’s been started.

Ares and Neve. I loved them. Ares is head of the Drako family, and Neve is the niece of the head of the rival crime family, the Kildares. It started as two enemies entering a marriage to bring peace, but they formed a genuine connection. 

I loved Neve. She was strong and pushed back and spoke her mind. Ares is a ruthless mafia king, but down bad for her. This man would have literally burned the world for her… crawled to her on his deathbed.

There were a few twists I didn’t see coming. The last portion of the book had me on the edge of my seat. Definitely need more of this world!
