- the fact that I laughed in the first chapter? I’m very intrigued. Hope this is good
- she reminds me of Aida from brutal prince. Ummm I did not like Aida
- I don’t like Owen….
- i don’t dislike this. But not much other than sex happening. Although spice is good
- I wanna know more about cillian
- Elsa is interesting. I want her book.
- um, I know it’s his severed arm but they can’t really believe Seamus is gone? It doesn’t make sense. I immediately think he’s staging it up get them to lower their guard.
- wtf would you hide that you’re being extorted from your husband that ALREADY knows about the photos???
- yup knew it. Seamus is obviously alive and Owen is bad
- Ngl the desperation in the hospital scene where he goes to her was good. I love that sort of drama
- ok I definitely want hades and Elsa book

i am in love!!!! this was everything i wanted in a mafia enemies to lovers romance. Ares is possessive, commanding leader for anyone who meets him. he knows how to own a room as soon as he walks in it. Neve is his opposite in most but one thing they both have is protecting anyone who they love. The tension between them the whole book was so fun. I did like Neve, but she did have her moments where i found myself annoyed with her for creating hostile situations with Ares when there was no need too. i also enjoyed the climax of the story but it felt slightly rushed. However i still loved reading this and would recommend it to anyone!

Being newer to the reading world, I usually just do star ratings, but a few books will compel me to write out my thoughts. This is one of them

I love me some mafia romance and this book delivered.

Arranged marriage be damned, Ares had no issue letting everyone know Neve was his wife. And who doesn’t love that?

But also, Neve is a little spitfire herself. She takes Ares to task and their banter is just perfect. I found myself grinning like an idiot as I read their back and forth. And their electricity is sooo good.

I don’t really do a “spice” rating per se, because that’s subjective but it’s got some steamy scenes you wouldn’t want your grandma to see you reading..even if she’s as awesome as Ares’ Ya-ya. I loved her, she’s probably one of my favorite people in the book. Also Hades. Hope he gets a story at one point too.

It’s a good-keeps you on the edge- story. I couldn’t put it down. This is my first title to read from this author and based on this book, surely won’t be the last

wow this was good! I really liked Neve and Ares

I wouldn't say its enemies enemies to lovers but more of a our families are enemies so I don't like you and I think you're obnoxious while you think I'm too loud and unruly to lovers which I enjoy.

Neve is a strong character, even with everything she went through as a kid and even now dealing with the arranged marriage she didn't see coming and didn't want. I liked that she didn't bend or break, she dealt with it in stride and was sassy til the very end and then some.

Ares was fun, it was pretty funny watching him try to deal with Neve and watching his feelings move from wow she's annoying to touch her and die. He himself I felt like was a very fleshed out character and was distinct from his brothers which I appreciate. I also liked that he was very intense but was a sweetheart to Neve and her sister.

The two of them together are definitely explosive and a fun time, the sex scenes??? whew those were good lol and when they'd argue it was so much fun. I love that it took time for them to move from it just being sex to love but they always wanted to protect each other. Also when Ares finds out what happened to Neve????? Loved it.

Speaking of what happened to Neve, I enjoyed that plot line. That feeling of like oh its resolved now, lol jk its had me dizzy in a good way.

Overall this was a really fun book, I liked the characters and liked the plot and also this is written by a man???? Love that for him seriously I was surprised like yes go off sir this was great write more thanks

Ares and Neve for the win!

This arranged marriage mafia book hit all the right spots. Ares was a perfect mix of dominant alpha Greek mafia leader, with a “anyone touches her and I’ll burn the world to the ground” attitude, and who unwillingly falls for his unexpected bride. Neve is the right mix of strong, feisty, Irish Mafia princess, and devoted to her family. This was a very well played enemies to lovers story. It was ::chefs kiss:: perfect that while they had not met in person previously, they had a bit of a shared physical interest in each other as neighbors with views into the other’s luxury apartment, where they’d each tracked the other in various states of undress often. With that initial bit of lust-attraction present, I was over the moon to avoid the dreaded and mood-killing storyline ploy “I hate them, but my body betrayed me.” That shuts me down every time, as it is usually wielded as a way to avoid putting in the work to create literally any amount of attraction (even if just physical) before they do the deed, instead of as a well played hate-f@ck. And it’s usually used when someone is OTT cruel first, but the woman just can’t help but swoon because he’s just SO HOT
